Ashfield Excellence Cluster - who we are
The Ashfield Excellence Cluster is a group of six secondary and nine primary schools in the Ashfield area of Nottinghamshire. Facing similar challenges, we are working together to raise the aspirations of our pupils by improving, extending and enriching their learning opportunities both in and out of the classroom.
Like other Excellence Clusters our work is currently divided into strands. The Learning Mentor Strand supports the use of mentors in schools to work with pupils who are at risk of underachievement . The Gifted and Talented Strand focuses on provision for pupils with particular abilities. We also have a Learning and Teaching Strand in which groups of schools collaborate on networked enquiry projects related to classroom practice. A number of our special events are open to other schools. Check our diary for details.
